Contribute to climate change mitigation. For my masters project I am investigating the activities of nitrogen cycling soil microbial communities during soil thaw events. I will be comparing soil nitrous oxide emissions given different agricultural management practices. I am a part of the CREATE Climate-Smart Soils program, which focuses on the development and implementation of soil management strategies that reduce soil greenhouse gas emissions.
